For this project, we chose a word in spanish and made a collage to best represent the word, then had an acrostic poem of our names on the back. I chose the word "Elefante" which means elephant. On the back was an acrostic of my name (Sierra) and to the side it had words in spanish that describe me that correlate with the letters of my name.
Columbian Exchange
With a partner, we were assigned a food or product that was exchanged when Columbus came to the Americas. With this, we were supposed to make a poster in photoshop based on what it was, how they used it and how it is used today. My partner, Hilary and I, studied grapes and how they were important.
Concert Poster
In spanish, we were required to make a poster featuring our favorite musicians and dates of their "Tour of South America". In it, there would be locations, dates and ticket information all in spanish as well as a paragraph describing our musicians we chose in spanish. This included where they originated, who is in the performing group and the genre of music they make.
Monsters Inc.
In this project, we created a monster of our choosing and got to decorate them, color them and name them. Then, we had to write a backstory to our monster explaining their backstory and where they were from. This included, but was not limited to, hobbies, jobs, siblings, pets, where they live, their mood, and what they want most of all.
Restaurant
In this project we were assigned partners and got to create our own restaurant located somewhere in South America. My partner, Diego, and I made a restaurant in Colombia called "El Toro". Along with that, we had to create menus and posters giving information about our restaurant and what we serve in spanish.
